Who am I

Kaya,

I am a Wajarri Yamatji woman with Noongar connections in Minang and Pinjarup Country within Western Australia. With a Bachelor Degree in Indigenous Community Management Development and over ten years of experience in Aboriginal organisations and spaces, I draw on my lived experience and understanding of what is like to be an Aboriginal person within the workplace.

I am a passionate advocate for cultural safety and Aboriginal employment retention in the workplace. With a deep commitment to foster the understanding and respect between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal individuals, I bring a unique perspective and valuable expertise to my work with businesses and organisations.

I am dedicated to bridging the gap between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal worlds, creating inclusive and culturally safe environments where all individuals can thrive. I work collaboratively with non-Aboriginal businesses to provide training, guidance, and support in promoting cultural safety, sensitivity, and respect.
